Joseph A. Pickett, 92, a long-time resident of the Chelan area, died Sunday in the hospital here after a long illness.

He was born April 26, 1874, in Mercer Co., Mo., where he married Dona Bell Vanderpool Sept. 24, 1895.

Mrs. Pickett died in 1959.

Surviving are his son, Basil Pickett, and two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Seidra) Dietrich and Mrs. Harold (Hazel) Norton, all of Chelan; 9 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge.
