Mr. Charles Landis Barnes, 81, passed away Monday, Sept.12, 2022 at UNC's Intensive Care Unit.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 14 at Lafayette Memorial Park (2301 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC 28301) with Pastor Andrew Davis of FBC Durham officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
Mr. Barnes was a native of Cumberland County, the son of Walton Kinchen and Eva Mae Cashwell Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kinchen Walton Barnes.
He is survived by his brother, Gene Barnes and wife Bonnie of Rockingham, NC and sister -in-law, Janet Barnes of Stedman, NC, along with six nieces and nephews. Keith Barnes, Tracy Barnes, Ron Barnes, Stephen Barnes, Marc Barnes, and Scott Barnes
