HENDERSON - Lana Jones Reavis, 97, of 6776 Vicksboro Road, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her home.
Born in War ren County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin V. Jones and Aleatha Thompson Jones. She was the widow of Thomas Edgar Reavis.
Mrs. Reavis was a homemaker. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral ser vices will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, in Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Seth Miller and Rev. Jimmy Reavis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty R. Jones and husband Peete, of Warrenton, Linda R. Sharpe and husband John, of Henderson, and Anne R. Davis and husband Charles, of Rocky Mount; two sons, Robert E. Reavis and wife Betty, of Savannah, Ga., and Alvin W. Reavis and wife Shelia, of Skippers, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Peete Reavis; a grandson, Craig Reavis; and a granddaughter, Kim Falkner.
The family will receive friends at the home of Betty Jean and Peete Jones, 2229 U.S. 401 South, Warrenton.
Ser ving as active pallbearers will be Kevin Kinton, Mitch Thompson, David Pendergrass, Jason Thompson, Terry Roberson, Nicholas Bailey, Donnie Robertson and Craig Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, 2493 U.S. 401 South, Warrenton, NC 27589.
