Anna J. Tragesser, 88, Tipton, died at 11:32 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 1994, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Shad been ill for six months. She was born Aug. 25, 1905, in Anderson, a daughter of Joseph J. and Rose M. (Schmitt) Hickner. August 25, 1925, she married Isadore "PatP Tragesser, who survives.

She was a housewife and retired from the Agriculture Stabilization & Conservation Service Office. She was a life member of St. John's Catholic Church and a member of the rosary society. She also was a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine instructor.

Also surviving are 11 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Beatrice) Toler, Mrs. Ralph (Thelma Jane) Folk and Mrs. Carl (Barbara) Lipetri, all of Janesville, Wis., Margaret R. Gillespie of Biloxi, Miss., Mrs. Robert (Esther) Folk, of Fort Atkinson, Wis., Mrs. Robert (Theresa) Starke of Greentown, Mrs. Jerry (Judith) Collins of Elwood, Mrs. Larry (Norma) Stiner and Mrs. Phil (Carol) Mozzone, both of Kokomo, Mrs. Lloyd (Agnes) Hewitt of Carmel. and Mrs. Thomas (Edith) Burke of McHenry, Ill.; five sons, Louis A. Tragesser, of Kempton, Jerome M. Tragesser of San Marcos, Calif., William K. Tragesser of Kokomo, Leonard F. Tragesser of Florida and Eugene E. Tragesser of Greentown; 70 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.One daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Koors; and two sons, George and Philip Tragesser; four sisters and six brothers preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church and Burial will follow in St. John's cemetery.
