Melvin C. Brown, 77 of Van Alstyne, Texas passed away on February 10, 2022. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Communications Specialist. He continued his path in communications after his time in the military.

He is survived by his wife Paula of 55 years, daughter Karin and husband Rich Hollensed of Denison Texas, son Thomas and wife Amy Brown of Howe Texas, Grandsons Christian and Brandon Johnson both of Denison Texas, Grand daughter Addison Hollensed of Los Angeles California, Grandsons Colton and Carson Brown of Howe Texas. Great Grandson Colt Johnson of Denison Texas, and his best friend and Lap dog "Prissy"

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lillie (McGee) and Melvin Brown of Eastland Texas, brother L. C. Brown of Eastland Texas, Brother Lowell Brown of Ranger Texas, and a baby sister that passed away only a few days after her birth.

Melvin requested for a cremation, and personally asked for us to remember him without official services or memorials. In lieu of flowers Melvin's wishes were that anyone who is able, to make donations, to Texas Scottish Rite for Children: 2222 Wellborn St., Dallas, TX 75219; (214) 559-5000.
