Thomas L. Horton, 89, a long-time Chelan resident, died Saturday at the nursing home in Cashmere.

He was born Jan. 28, 1886, at Menominee Co., Mich., and came to Chelan in 1904, where he homesteaded on Howard Flats.

He married Charlotte Boyles in 1914, at Chelan. She died in 1937.

Mr. Horton moved to Spokane in 1936 and farmed there until 1950, when he moved to Chelan.

He married Margaret Williams in 1938. She died in 1964.

Surviving are four sons, George, of Sacramento, Calif., Archie, of Seattle, Myrton, of Canby, Ore., and Jim, of Waterville; one daughter, Daisy Stuart, of Seattle; one brother, Elmer, of Electric City; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
