Thomas Carr (34766890) who married Anna Gates (34766949) did have a son named Elijah and a son name William who have been confused with the Elijah and William in Putnam County TN. Thomas Carr's son lived completely different, documented lives in Butler County Ohio. That Elijah Carr was born 1807 and his brother William was born 1799 and married Jane Page. I went to Washington DC and read the complete pension file and followed up with research into the sons lives in Butler County Ohio thirty years ago but this keeps coming up.
