Mrs. E. T. Pratt died about 5 o'clock this morning at the hospital. She leaves a husband here at the Home, to which they came from Omaha. Mrs. Pratt was born July 20, 1840.

GRAND ISLAND--Three deaths have occurred at the soldiers' home in a single day. Mrs. E. T. Pratt, admitted from Omaha, aged sixty-nine years; James B. Thomas, aged sixty-five years, and Mrs. Emrett Knappen, aged sixty-one years. Interments will be made in the Home cemetery in all cases.

On 1 Jun 1900, Edward T. Pratt, 58, was residing at 3520 Pinkney Street in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, with his wife of 43 years, Sarah, 63. They had no children. Edward was a carpenter and was born in Oct 1841 in Illinois. Sarah was born in July 1836 in Indiana. [1900 Federal Census]
