Edith M. Reynolds Chapman, age 91, passed away January 24, 2008 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born to William Lonzo and Rebecca M. Kimberlin Reynolds in Merit, TX on July 26, 1916. In 1933, she married Earl P. Hopper. He preceded her in death in 1946. In 1964, Edith married Claude E. Chapman in Hugo, OK on December 27. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth E. Hopper and wife Linda of Como, C.R. "Jr." Chapman and wife Debbie of Ben Wheeler; three daughters and two sons-in-law Rebecca Hopper of Sulphur Springs, Venera Dodd and husband Jimmie of Sulphur Springs, and Ann Ratliff and husband John of Midlothian; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and three great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Woodrow and Haskell Reynolds. Claude and Edith Chapman were owners and operators of Chapman Radiator Service for 33 years. Edith became a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in 1960. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Tinsley and Rev. C.R. "Jr." Chapman, officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 5 ? 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Mt. Sterling Cemetery immediately after the funeral with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
