Kathryn grew up in Cleveland and later Downey, where she met and married her forever sweetheart, Raymond Hurst on her birthday, November 1, 1946 in Preston, Idaho. They were sealed in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple a year later. Together they had five children. They moved to Roy, UT in 1952 where they lived until both of their passings.
Kathryn enjoyed flowers, her vegetable garden, and doing word search puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Kathryn and Ray started traveling the country when Ray retired. They enjoyed packing up their trailer and spending time together camping throughout the western states, where they would fish, explore many of the national parks, and meet up with life-long traveling friends. Kathryn was exceptional at playing cards, especially Gin Rummy and Hearts. Kathryn loved and took such great care of her animals and had many pets throughout the years. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent memorable times with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond, her daughter Tamara, and her grandson Gabriel.
Kathryn will be loved and missed by her seven great-grandchildren, her siblings, and dear friends.
