Barbara started her 35-year teaching career in Chalmette, Louisiana, and Hancock County, Mississippi. She especially loved teaching Middle School kids. She also taught children of military service members for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools for 20 years with assignments in South Korea, Japan, Italy, and North Carolina.
Barbara was an American patriot and a devoted member of the Catholic Church.
She was an avid movie buff, especially sappy movies, mysteries, and sci-fi. Her favorite actress was Lacey Chabert from the Hallmark Channel.
In addition, Barbara was an enthusiastic reader and her favorite author was Amanda Quick.
Barbara was a passionate Anglophile, but really treasured all history! She was especially dedicated to exploring her own family's history. Along with a great affection for Southern culture, she truly loved cooking Southern style.
She was a world traveler and immensely enjoyed Mediterranean cruises. Her favorite pastime was playing casino slot games.
Another fun fact: Barbara taught Brett Favre and his wife Deanna when they were in grade school.
Barbara is also survived by her cousins: Barbara Clark, Timothy Clark, Shannon Hingle, Virginia Fleming, Jean Sims, Kenny Bryant, and Jay Bryant. Lifelong friends include Billy Dedeaux, Cheryl Cuevas, and Brian Cuevas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruth Bryant, and her brother James Bryant.
