Last rites will be held in McConnell-Service Chapel today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. for Carlos Arnett, who died overseas with the Army on January 21, 1945. Rev. Berry Copeland will officiate and interment will be in the City Cemetery, McConnell-Service directing. American Legion will have charge of services.
Survivors include is parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Arnett of Athens Route 4; two brothers, Orville of Athens and Clyde of Birmingham; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice McAnn of Huntsville, Mrs. Bunola Simmons and Mrs. Estelle Williams, both of Jacksonville, Fla.
