Debbie grew up in Taft, Texas, graduated from Taft High School, and was raised in the Baptist Church. She married her high school sweetheart, Darrell Gene Mires, and they were married for 47 years until he passed in 2020. She liked to be called Debbie and was known as Mamo to her grandchildren.
Debbie retired from Houston Northwest Medical Center, where she was employed as a medical coder for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, music, and going to the beach, and she loved Mexican food and margaritas; she made the best enchiladas. One of her favorite past times was also doing laundry, it was something she considered as relaxing.
