Edith LeBlanc's parents died in 1935 and 1936, only 9 months apart. Edith and sister Ellen were adopted by Jack and Verna Polley. Her older sister Florence had married their son Benny and they adopted 2 of Edith's younger sisters, Geneva and Joyce Lee. Their aunt and uncle on their mom and dad's side adopted the youngest daughter Mary Belle.

She married Vern Dewberry and lived in Catalpa, Arkansas until she died. Her and Vern had one son that died in infancy. However, her life was filled with lots of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

I remember visiting my Great Aunt Edith and Uncle Vern. She would always put on the coffee and serve up a yummy dessert for visiting company. She attended the Catalpa Church her entire adult life and taught Sunday School. She was dearly loved by all her family and a community of friends. There was never a more finer woman that God put on this earth as Edith.

Special thanks to the American Kidney Foundation for providing life sustaining care for her those last few years.
