Funeral services for Clarence L. "Golpher" Moncrief 75, of Roberta will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 11:00 am at Roberta Evangelical Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Gopher passes away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Houston Medical Center. He was a member of the Roberta Evangelical Church and was retired from Blue Bird Body Company. He was a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Gopher was a volunteer EMT with Crawford County EMS for many years and volunteered as an EMT at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hurbert Moncrief and Jenny Belle Cochran, a brother Henry Moncrief and a sister Hilda Dean Dukes.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth W. Moncrief, one son, Doug Moncrief (JoLynn) of Roberta; one daughter Janice Childree (Jarrod) of Roberta; two brothers David Moncrief of Roberta and J. E. Moncrief (Sherrie) of Reynolds: five grand children; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
