OBITUARY

Services for James R. Boylen, 58, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, a crane operator for Fisher Body Corp. in Euclid since 1954, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Brunner funeral Home, 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor.

Mr. Boylen died Sunday at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Born September 22, 1925, in Century, West Virginia, he had lived in the Mentor area for 25 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3605. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946 and received the European, Pacific and American theater ribbons and the Victory Medal.

Survivors are his wife, Lena; daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Darrelene) Skaggs of Ansted, West Virginia; sons, Roy of Madison; Jim of Mentor; brothers, Troy of Mentor, Ohio and Kenneth of Garrettsville; and nine grandchildren.

A sister, Melrose Simpson, is deceased.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. Troy Elam of Mentor Community Church of God will officiate at services. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
