August 5, 1955 - July 1, 2022 Donna Faye York, age 66 of London, Kentucky departed this life Friday morning July 1, 2022 peacefully at her home. She was born August 5, 1955 to the late Lucy and Willie Blankenship. Donna was a member of the Lynn Camp Baptist Church. She worked at The Hickory House and Tremco before ultimately becoming a Homemaker. Donna enjoyed sitting on her proch, gardening, cooking, baking, shopping,traveling and taking care of her grandchildren. In 1971 Donna was united in marriage to Ronnie Messer, Sr. and to this union one child was born. On August 30, 1975 Donna married James Rondal York and to this union four children were born. Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband James Rondal York, daughter Leeann Nicole York, sisters; Beatrice Blankenship, Ellen Mills, Opal Cavanaugh and Rose Thomas and brothers; Virgel Warren, Jeff Warren, Jim Tom Blankenship and McArthur Blankenship.
Donna is survived by her two beloved sons, Ronnie Messer, Jr. and wife Samantha of Barbourville and Logan Locke Martin of London. Her treasured grandchildren; Chloe Marie Messer, Ronnie Jace Messer and Benjamin Weiss. Her other children; Cassandra Faye Weiss of Versailles, Kentucky, Amanda Renea York of Nashville, Tennessee and James Leonard York of Lexington, Kentucky. Sisters Fleda Berard of Evansvile, Indiana, Jeanetta Mills and husband General of Donniesville, Ohio, Barbara Hammerstein and husband Mike of Evansville, Indiana, Wilma Broughton and husband Henry of Corbin, Kentucky and beloved brother James Elbert (JE) Blankenship and wife Myra of Corbin, Kentucky.
Visitation for Donna Faye York will be Tuesday evening, July 5, 2022 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM and Wednesday July 6, 2022 from 10 AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 PM at Bowling Funeral Home, London, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Josh K. Smith and Steve Brock officiating. A private family burial service will be conducted at a later date.
