Adele Dorce Alexandre, nee Adele Morel, passed away on June 11, 2022 at her daughter's house with family at her side. She was 92. Her late husband was Andre Dorce Alexandre. Adele was born November 13, 1929 in Port Au Prince, Haiti to Constant Morel and Julia Deilet (Montoune) Morel. She was a fashion designer and was very good at her trade. She was very attentive to the education of her children. She enjoyed reading, Chinese Checkers, 10x10 Checkers and gardening. Her personal attributes were love of family, decency, loyalty and planning. Her close friends were referred to as "family."

She immigrated to the US with her children in Brooklyn, New York. A few years later she moved to Houston, Texas in the footsteps of her daughter Elsie and her husband Martial Cadet. Her brother Pierre Morel, later moved to Houston to be close to her. She then moved to California, to follow her daughter Marilyn and her husband Kelechi Ehumadu. She played a significant role in the upbringing of Marilyn's children and Elsie's children. To all her grandchildren she was known as Mommy Adele.

She was predeceased by her husband, Andre Dorce Alexandre, her daughter, Elsie Dorce Alexandre-Cadet, her brothers Pierre Morel, Luc Morel, Felix Morel and Marcel Morel.
She is survived by her children Joel Dorce Alexandre, Jacques Dorce Alexandre and Marilyn D Alexandre- Ehumadu, her grandsons and granddaughters Thierry D Alexandre, Olivier D Alexandre, Kenneth Ehumadu, Kaitlyn Ehumadu, Kristina Ehumadu-Stracener, Joyce Alexandre, Olivia (Vivi) Alexandre, Angela Alexandre, Richard Alexandre and James Alexandre, four great grandchildren, her sister Solange Morel and her sister Constance Morel.
