Wes graduated from Leonia High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy for three years, from (1945-1948) and served as an electronics technician on the USS Macon and the USS Mississippi. He then attended Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ and graduated in 1949. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Lehigh University in Physics and Economics. He was a creative entrepreneur, starting his early career by founding the Income Planning Corporation and eventually creating his own oil and gas company. He was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity for many years. He served as a trustee for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge and Tech Corps which helped set up technology in private schools. Wes was also a member of the International Rotary Club for many years and he enjoyed reading and spending time on the computer.
Wes is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; two sons, Weston C. Vogel Jr. of Florida and William (Linda) Vogel of PA; daughter, Holly (Kim) Glenn of Florida; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. Services will be held at the discretion of the family at a later date. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
