WILLIAM PEAVLER OBITUARY
William Frederick "Fred" Peavler

September 15, 1930 - August 4, 2021

William Frederick "Fred" Peavler, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Hagerman, Idaho on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, with family by his side.

Fred was born on September 15, 1930, to Elijah Homer and Ritta Dianna Hoover in Crane Harney County (Dad always said: Horny County by the Virgin River) Oregon. Fred lived in Colorado, Oregon, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho during his childhood. He attended Star Valley High in Afton, Wyoming. This is where he met the love of his life Rhea Rodgers. They were married on March 22, 1951, in the Idaho Falls Temple. To their eternal union, 11 children were born.

His greatest accomplishments were his beautiful wife, his family, and his service in the Navy, as a navigator, during the Korean War. He was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a very strong testimony of the gospel, the book of Mormon, and the plan of salvation. He loved the Lord and served in the Twin Falls Temple for many years. He loved playing the harmonica, whistling, and singing songs (like One grasshopper). He had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor

Fred is survived by: his children - Matt R. (Barbara), Mark R. (Janet), Derrick Charles (Judy), Connie (Terry) Shy, Zed R. (Marilyn), Kip R., Lex R. (Mary), Maryann (Michael) Holbrook, Crystal (Cleo) Tannous, Spring (Herb) Runyan, and Joanie; his brother - Jerry (Kathy) Peavler; 44 grandchildren that he loved and adored, and 83 great-grandchildren (He always said: I'm the "Greatest grandpa.)

He was preceded in death by his wife - Rhea; his son - Michael Fredrick; his parents; sisters - Martha Lee, Wilma, Barbara, and Edie; and brothers - Earl, Jack, and Kenny.

A private family graveside will take place at the Hagerman Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
