42 years ago, she married Don Ambos, and he survives in Jackson Center.
She is also survived by her beloved children and stepchildren: Deanna (Harvey) Claypool, Robert (Connie) Farley, Lan (Mary) Farley, Fred (Deniece) Farley, Melanie (Jim) Brandt, Valerie Donahoe, Rick (Nancy) Ambos, Vicki (Steve) Eikens, Darrell Ambos, and Jackie (Scott) Cornwell; 20 grandchildren; 31 great- grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Shively; a sister, Mary Jane Shively Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was a local business owner, a Master Gardener, a Peace Corps volunteer and was always active in church over the years. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
There will be a private family burial at Glen Cemetery in Sidney at a later date.
