Age 90, of Brighton. He was the son of Kermith and Meta (Rutkowski) Broderson. In 1950 he married Margaret Dzendzel. Alfred was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP), and the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed gardening, music, polka, Lawrence Welk, and playing the violin. He especially enjoyed spending time at Torch Lake fishing and boating. Prior to his retirement in the late 1980s, he had been employed by Detroit Public Schools. Surviving is one brother; two sisters; and several extended family members. Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret on December 22, 2007 as well as two sisters, Lois and Elaine. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Howell Nature Center.
