Martha Jane (Hussey) Hand, 94, passed away at 11:00 pm on May 19, 2019 at the Legends Village Assisted Living Community. Martha was born on July 24, 1924 in Vincennes to Lawrence and Edna (Conard) Hussey.
Martha was a 1942 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School. She was a former secretary for DeKalb Agriculture Association, Tip Top Creamery and Cashier at Washington High school cafeteria. She was a member of the Washington Free Methodist Church, Women's Missionary International and active in the RSVP.
Her husband, Leo Kenneth Hand, who she married on April 1, 1943 preceded her in death on November 17, 2000. She loved her family, her church and making teddy bears for RSVP. Surviving are two sons, Philip Hand and Richard Hand and his wife Lawana. Also, two grandsons and their wives, Ritchie and Alicia and Jarvis and Casey Hand, two great-grandchildren, Clarke and Lillian, one niece and four nephews. Daughter-in-law, Jean Hand, a sister Dorothy Caughran, two brothers, Joe and Eugene and her parents preceded her in death.
