William Buck Dies
William Buck, a long-time resident of Salem, died in Seattle, Wash. yesterday while visiting his son, William Buck Jr.
He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. James Olinger and Mrs. George Betty of Salem, and Mrs. Lillie Merguard of Portland; and one son, William Buck of Seattle, Wash.
The funeral announcements will be made later. Arrangements will be in charge of the Terwilliger Funeral Home.
The obit spells two names incorrectly: "Merguard" is actually "Nergaard", and "Betty is actually "Beaty". His daughter, Mary Malena Buck, married George Beaty.
