Fredrick George Barwick (known throughout the district by the sobriquet of "Clocky") took his time from the Great Time keeper on Tuesday night, and journeyed to the undiscovered country, from whose' bourn no traveller returns. He had been living in a hut on the racecourse at Thornton, but as he did not put in an appearance on Wednesday morning, a search of the hut was made. He was found dead in his bed.. A post mortem examination was made by Dr. Gocher, who certified that the cause of death was heart failure. Barwick, who was 63 years of age, was a watchmaker by trade.
