Wanda Gale Blatz, 84, passed away on June 26, 2022 in San Angelo. She was born August 24, 1937 to Allen Charles and Ida Mae Baze in Tom Green County. Her husband of fifty one years, her parents and brother Buck Baze preceded her in death. She grew up in Mertzon and married Bob Blatz on May 1, 1959 at the Mertzon Baptist Church.

She took early retirement from GTE after 29 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club and her favorite thing was having family get togethers.

She is survived by one special sister in law Sue Baze Guess; two nephews Brad Baze and David Baze (Wendy) and niece Carla Baze (Lesley); two great nephews Tanner Baze and Juston Baze and a special cousin Lorece Baze.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff from Hospice of San Angelo for the kindness and care given to her in the end.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in the Mertzon Cemetery.
