Noah was the son of Joseph and Emily Follendore. (Joseph was born in 1818 in Germany, and a Civil War Veteran who enlisted as a Private on 22 November 1862 at the age of 33 in Company A, 54th Infantry Regiment Georgia.) During the 1800's, they and their ten children owned a 600 acre produce farm in what is now southwest Bibb County. Joseph and his two sons Joseph, Jr., and Noah were originally buried on the plantation farm, but it was sold in 2007 to developers, and sadly they were subsequently exhumed and buried at nearby New Elm Baptist Church where the rest of their family was buried. Their children were Eliza A. (b. 1848); Joseph Jr. (b. 1850); Charles (b. 1847); Daniel (b. 1852); Margaret E. (b. 1853); Noah W. (b.1855); Emily J. (b. 1856); Thomas A. (b. 1860); Ezekial (b. 1860); Martha A. (b. 1865).
