Alta May Miller, daughter of Thomas B and Nancy j. Stephens was born April 4, 1890 and died on September 3, 1925, age 35 years 4 months and 29 days.
She was married to Andrew Jackson "Jack" Miller November 15, 1906. To this union five children were born: two sons, Curtis and James Edgar dying in infancy; Carrie, Herber and Ina Fern are left with Brother Miller to mourn the loss of a devoted mother and wife. Besides the husband and children she leaves three sisters, Mrs. Arch Lykins, of Gentry, Mo.; Mrs. John Spainhower of Stanberry, and Miss Edna Stephens of Albany; and one brother Tommy Stephens of Albany. She also leaves two half-brothers, Harry Stephens of Tekamah, Neb., and Charles Stephens of Verna, Colo; also one half-sister, Mrs. J. R. Lunford of Blairstown, Mo.
She united with the Christian church at Denver, Mo., in 1907, where she held membership at the time of her death.
Sister Miller possessed a fine christian charater, and to know her was to lover her. She was a faithful member of the Ladies Aid society, Sunday school and church at Denver, where she will be grately missed.
Funeral Services were conducted in the Christian church at Denver, Mo., at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, September 4, 1925, by her former pastor; Rev. H. R. Murphy of Savannah, Mo. Interment was at Kent Cemetery.
1st wife of Andrew Jackson "Jack" Miller the cause of her death per certificate was due to Typhoid Feaver and the complications of Pirtionius.
