REMMEL FANCHER, a resident of Burlington, Ark., was born April 4, 1927, in Connor, Ark., a son of John Kenner and Mary (Hoppins) Fancher. He died Monday, March 5, 2007, in his home at the age of 79.
Mr. Fancher was a truck driver. He was a member of the Ridgeway Church of Christ.

On Jan. 18, 1954, he was united in marriage with Devota (Ethridge) Fancher, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Remmel Kyle and Becky Fancher of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Bobby Barnes of LeFors, Texas; two brothers, Russell Fancher of Green Forest and J.K. Fancher of Harrison; five grandchildren, Caleb Barnes, Katie Barnes, Cameron Barnes, Tyler Fancher and Jordon Fancher; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Fancher.

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Rule Cemetery with Mr. Bill Arnold officiating. Interment was in the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
