Delmore Lewis Buckhold, age 76, of 13212 Hoffman Rd., Three Rivers, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, April 29, 1984 at the Three Rivers Hospital.
He was born on January 19, 1908 in Marcellus, Michigan. He was graduated from the Marcellus High School and was Valedictorian of his class, 1925. On March 31, 1928 he was married to Dorothy May Clipfell. She died in 1968. Mr. Buckhold attended Corey Church of the Nazarene. He was employed at Eddy Paper Corp. and the Armstrong Machine Works before retiring in 1941.
Surviving are two sons, Delwin K. Buckhold of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Darwin W. Buckhold of Three Rivers; four grandchildren, Mrs. Stephen (Tracy) Adams of Marcellus, Mrs. William (Linda) McCollum of Three Rivers, Mrs. Rodney (Amy) Arnold of Chicago and Ronald Buckhold, a student in Emporia, Kansas; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Wortinger of Three Rivers, one brother, Paul Janing of Marcellus and several nieces and nephews. His parents, wife, and one sister preceded him in death.
Religious services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers with Rev. Richard Osborne of the Corey Church of the Nazarene Interment was in the Marcellus Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Corey Church of the Nazarene Scholarship fund.
