She was born May 11, 1923, in Weir, KS., and graduated with honors from Columbus High School. She managed a medical clinic, and then spent 32 years involved in the management of the Ar-Ex Drug Store in Marysville. She was a golf enthusiast, enjoyed playing bridge and cooking. Her focus was her family and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter French Merrick.
