Jeanne Lois Kubish (Rigle), age 95 of Jackson, Michigan, passed peacefully under the loving care of her family May 30, 2022. She was born May 10, 1927, Jackson, Michigan to Guy and Lois (Fox) Rigle.

Jeanne is survived by her loving children Kim Kubish (Sharon), Kris Kubish, (Denise Hartung), Karolyn Benn; cherished grandchildren Shalon Smith (Derek), Jaymi Linn Miller (Douglas), Holly Jackson, Keisha Kubish, Hillari Kope (Paul) and Ashley Rose Kubish. Dear great-grandchildren James, Keegan, Keewan, Shaylee, Kylee, Keianna, Andrew, Korbin, Karsyn, Oliveah, Jaylinn, Karigan, Gabrielle, Ivory Rose, and Brock Orville-Lee; one brother Jay Rigle (Dorothy); two sisters Joyce Furman (Woody) and Judy Andrews. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Gerald H. Kubish, her parents, two other lifetime companions, Emil Teegardin (Poppa T) and Bob Rentschler (Bibity Bob).

Jeanne had tirelessly worked for the County of Jackson for 22 years and retired in 1998. She loved to volunteer and did so from a young age until 2017. She volunteered and was active with her children's youth activities and served on many committees for the county and city. A few to mention were DHS State office volunteer, City of Jackson Planning, City of Jackson Elections inspector, and Victims' Rights Unit-County Courthouse.

Jeanne loved to travel, whether it was in the United States or abroad. Her biggest highlight was riding a camel in Egypt. Jeanne never met a stranger she didn't greet with a smile, love, or greet with a hug. She formed many lifelong friendships along the way.

Jeanne was a member of the United First Methodist Church in Jackson. While in Ripley, Mississippi with her family, attended Palmer Baptist Church, where a memorial will be held in her honor.
We will remember her as the short spunky lady that was always positive and so full of life, that she radiated from every part of her soul. Even with her last breath she sang "Climb, Climb up Sunshine Mountain."

Jeanne loved our Lord Jesus and has reached the top of the mountain. We all loved her and thank her for being the best sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Our hearts hold a lifetime of stories, memories, laughter, and love. We are so grateful for the bond we share in love.

The Lord has blessed us all beyond measures and she will live in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
