GIVENS, Ella O., age 83, a resident of LaPine, AL died Thursday, February 23, 2012 due to a long illness. Survivors are sons Larry Givens (Helen) of LaPine, AL; N.E. "Rusty" Givens of Highland Home, AL; & William "Bill" Givens of Highland Home, AL; one daughter, Patricia Givens of LaPine, AL; 9 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren.
Ella's remains were cremated, and kept by her family. (At this time, they have not yet been scattered, 6/26/2022)
Ella was beloved by her family, and was a lover of all animals. Her favorite animal was the hummingbird, often feeding them on the front and back porch of the farmhouse. She had a beautiful farm, and was surrounded by a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and horses. She also enjoyed fishing at the man-made pond on her land, and tending to her garden.
Her maiden name is Bowen, daughter of Effie and William Henry. She was previously married to Newton Earl Givens SR. (B. 1926 - D. 2007) but did divorce later on, though keeping her married last name.
