Mr. Arrington was born on November 28, 1946, in Surry County, NC, to the late Reece and Josephine Cook Arrington.
Mr. Arrington proudly served as a Staff Sargent in the 25th Infantry Division of the US Army during the Vietnam war.
He was retired from R.J. Reynolds.
He was a faithful member of Westfield Baptist Church where he served on several committees.
He enjoyed fishing and golfing and he loved gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Renay Arrington; a brother, Phillip Ray Arrington; and a brother-in-law, Fred R. Smith.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Elizabeth Lynn Tilley Arrington; two sons: Scott L. Arrington and wife Chrystal, and Rickey D. Arrington and wife Martha; two grandchildren: Dylan Reese Arrington, and Anna Paige Arrington; a sister, Sylvia A. Smith, a sister-in-law, Alice Faye Arrington, two brothers-in-law: Glenn R. Tilley and wife Barbara, and Phil B. Tilley and wife Penny, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to Mountain Valley Hospice, Forsyth Hospital, and all of the friends that lifted Mickey and his family up in prayers.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Westfield Baptist Church, with Rev. Wes McGarry officiating.
