Mr. McCudden was born, raised, and educated in Carlstadt.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a graduate and later earned his MBA from Stevens Institute.
He was the managing engineer of RCA, Harrison, and later Raytheon in Massachusetts.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3231, an eucharist minister at Jersey Shore Medical Center and St. Denis Church and one of the founders of Operation Understanding in Newark.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard F. and Christina M. Rahrig McCudden; and his siblings, William, Bernard, Joseph, Frank, Mary, Elizabeth, and Theresa.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 52 years, Anita C. McSpiritt McCudden; his beloved children and their spouses, Michael and Becky, Patrick and Linda, Brian and Laura, Stephen and Michelle, Maura and Ron, Diane and Gary, and Nancy and Chuck; and 23 adored grandchildren.
