Maria Padilla was born abt. 1871 in El Chato, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Francisca Padilla of El Pino, New Mexico. She married Pedro Lopez born in Chihuahua, Mexico, son of Pedro Lopez Sr and Maria Olguin both from Mexico. He immigrated to the US in 1879 and was living in Pinos Wells, NM. They were married in Manzano, New Mexico, on July 18, 1887, when she was 16 years old. Thier Padrinos were Refugio Lucero and Soledad Chavez. The witnesses were: Placido Serna and Avelino Chavez. Not much is known about her but she died in Pinos Wells, New Mexico around 1920.
