Born in Wilmington, Delaware and a son of the late Steven and Ann Martha Napolski, he graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1954. He resigned his commission in order to manage the family business, West End Dairy of Wilmington. Mr. Barczewski was a retired power generator sales manager who was employed by Allis Chalmers, Perkins Engines, Waukesha Engines, Georgia Engines and Rudox Engines. Steven was an avid wine collector and enjoyed fine food and dining. For many years, he was a talented and enthusiastic wood worker, who built many pieces of furniture for his family to enjoy. He lived for much of his life in Atlanta and had recently moved to Cascades Verdae.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Wehunt Barczewski; and a daughter and her husband, Stephanie Barczewski and Michael Silvestri of Greenville.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held 11 am Saturday, November 24, 2012 in The Mackey Mortuary Chapel.
Graveside services will be held later at Old Bohemia Catholic Church Cemetery, Warwick, Maryland.
