Educator, Author. Pusey served as the 24th president of Harvard University, from which he received is B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees. He clashed with Senator Joseph McCarthy during the 1950's, and despaired at the revolutionary and violent activities of campus life in the 1960's, where he felt learning had almost ceased to exist.
Following his tenure at Harvard, he acted as President of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
Nathan Pusey was elected to serve as the Lawrence University president on September 6, 1944.
