ALFRED "ALF" LANE SR. was the husband of Mrs. Zula (Green) Lane.

He worked as a farmer.

By 1895, he and his family were residing in Harrison County, Texas.

His wives preceded him in death.

Mr. Lane died of old age.

Upon his passing, ALFRED "ALF" LANE was laid to rest on August 31, 1932 on the grounds of Old Border Cemetery in Jonesville.

He was buried in a "homemade casket", and the burial was cared for by his family, friends & neighbors.

- Alfred's first wife was Mrs. Jane Lane. Jane was 23-year-old wife, and she was the mother of two young children -- Betsey A. Lane, age 3, and Alick/Alex, age 8-month-old -- as reported in the 1870 census.
