Antrim, Ireland, where she met and married William Aiken Jr. in the parish of Ahoghill, in the Diocese of Connor, Ireland, prior to their emigration to America. They were the parents of Joseph, James, Robert, William, Sarah, and Alexander Scott Aiken.
