Daniel "Dan" Kenneth Baker, Sr., 79, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Dan was born to R. E. and Birdie Naomi Johnson Baker on Monday, March 8, 1943, in College Park Georgia.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carole G. Baker; daughters, Pam Baker of Charleston, South Carolina, and Traci (Andy) Durden of Fayetteville, Georgia; his sons, Ken (Sonja) Baker of Wedowee, Alabama, and Doug (Emily) Baker of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Hunter, Emma, Ayden, Anna Grace, Kayla, Wesley, Ty, and Trent; and his sister, Joan (Buddy) Aslinger of Winston, Georgia; and nephew, Steve (Debbie) and niece, Susan (Dale) and their families.
Dan enjoyed hunting in his early life, and his greatest joy was his family and having conversations with anyone or sharing his jokes. He started his career at his father's trucking company, Baker Delivery Company. He was a natural born salesman in the trucking industry all his life and retired from L & N Trucking Service.
