OBITUARY- Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, MS, Nov. 23, 1933
CALHOUN NATIVE IS DEATH VICTIM
Calhoun City- T. C. Hollis, 74, lifelong citizen of this county and member of one of the prominent families of this section died at his home at Hollis, four miles east of here. He was one of a family of ten children, only two of whom now survives. He has been an invalid for four or five years, having suffered a stroke, and has been confined to his home during that time.
He is survived by his widow; by two daughters, Miss Elizabeth Hollis and Miss Thelma Hollis, both of whom are at home; by four sons, Van and Walter Hollis of Hollis, Ernest Hollis of Moorehead, KY, where he is the dean of Moorehead State Teachers College, Howard Hollis of Camp 46-CCC in Myrtle; by one brother, Frank Hollis and one sister, Mrs. Filmore Young of Vardaman. Burial was yesterday, in the cemetery at New Liberty Church, with funeral services conducted by Rev. J. F. Hartley of Vardaman.
