The 1880 Bell County Texas Census lists James Albert King as being born in Jan of 1880 making him 5 months old. My grandmother Battie Rada King Weathersbee told me in the 1980's that she was told he died on the family's trip from the northern part of Texas, possibly Fannin County, Texas as Angeline is said to have been born in Fannin County, Texas on her death certificate back to the Bell County/Milam County, Texas area. She said he died of tuberculosis (TB) in Coke County, Texas. I'm guessing before 1900 because he is not listed with the family at that time. He could have gone to another location however, Texas began registering deaths around 1903 and there is no death record for him that I can find. I would use the 1890 Census however it burned and isn't available. My grandmother also mentioned that he had a wife named Lula. There is no evidence of their marriage or her existence. 14 June 2022.
