HAPPY - John E. "Jack" Frost, 91, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Stribling officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Jack was born Nov. 30, 1916, in Vigo Park to the late William Lenord and Frances Esma Frost. He grew up in Happy and graduated from Happy High School. He married his childhood sweetheart, Ruby Mae Sackett, on Nov. 26, 1936, in Vega. Jack farmed and ranched in Happy and Endee, N.M., all of his adult life. He was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church. He served as a Randall County ASCS Board member for 20 years and he was a 32nd Degree Mason for 62 years.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; four sons, Bill Frost and wife Linda of Pampa, Bob Frost and wife Jane of San Jon, N.M., Len Frost and wife Vicki of Tucumcari, N.M., and Zeke Frost and wife Susie of Happy; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 56, Happy, TX 79042; Happy Community Center, P.O. Box 392, Happy, TX 79042; or Happy Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 216, Happy, TX 79042.

The family will receive visitors after services at the Community Center in Happy.
