Born April 18, 1928 in Yoakum, Texas, she was the daughter of Paul and Mary Elizabeth Malick. Mildred was a housewife and mother. She attended daily mass and led the Rosary and the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help until she became home bound. She was known for her beautiful roses and meticulously hand pruning her shrubbery.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail Lynn Dishongh Brant and husband, Robert, of Calabash, NC and son, Burl Edward Dishongh, Jr. and wife, Martha, of Baton Rouge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Burl Edward Dishongh, Sr. and daughter Rita Joyce Dishongh, as well as two brothers and one sister.
