Alvin Irvin "Al" Nix of Comanche passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at his home in Comanche.

Al was born May 13, 1934 at Mangum, Oklahoma the son of Grady James and Winnie Mae McAden Nix. He came to the Duncan area in 1979 from Fillmore, California. He worked as a sales manager for the Fillmore Ford in Fillmore, California and was the owner of Diana's Wholesale Jewelry in Duncan for many years. He attended the Bethesda Church of God, was a member of the Stephens County Cattlemen's Association and the Numismatic Association.

Survivors include his wife Diana Nix of the home; a son Eric Neal and his wife Laura of Dunnegan, Missouri; three daughters Faith Lynn Owens of Duncan, Dana Lira and her husband Louie of RioVista, California and Kim Neal of Bolivar, Missouri; a brother Richard Nix of Manteca, California; a sister Wilma Fink of Oklahoma City; Grandchildren Leah Owens of Duncan, Joshua Owens of Tulsa, Stephen Neal of Bolivar, Missouri, Derrick Neal of Dunnegan, Missouri, Kenny Kistner of RioVista, California, Michael Kistner of RioVista Califonia, Kevin Kistner of RioVista, Califonia, Colin Lira of RioVista, Califonia, Keith Leach of Ventura, California, Kyle Leach of Ventura, California and David Alvarez of Oxnard, California and a nephew James Nix of Manteca, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Tamara Kay Leach.

Funeral Services will be Monday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harold Metheny officiating. Interment services will be Wednesday in the Hopewell Cemetery near Urbana, Mo. under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
