CRANBURY, July 22 - One of Cranbury's oldest residents, Abel S. Edsall, passed away at his home in South Cranbury yesterday at noon. He was 82 years of age and had been ill for about four weeks from infirmities of age. Mr. Edsall was born at Ridgefield, NJ, and was one of a family of seven children, being the last to survive. When about twenty years of age, he went to New York and took up the iron business. He was foreman of the building of the High Bridge in New York. He remained there for about fourteen years and, his health failing, he moved to a farm on Cranbury Neck. He pursued this life until about seven years ago, when he and his family retired and moved to their present home in South Cranbury. He is survived by a widow, one daughter, Miss Mary Edsall, and one son, Elmer Edsall, both of Cranbury. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home, the Rev. J. E. Curry officiating. Mr. Edsall was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of this place. Interment will be made in Brainerd Cemetery under the direction of A. S. Cole, Son & Co.
