Sue Blankenship, 82, of Whitefield was called away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Haskell County Nursing Center. She was born at Quinton on May 23, 1940 to Bernie and Ruby (Mathis) Cloud. She grew up and attended school at Lequire, Kinta and Quinton where she was a graduate with the class of 1958. She married Claude Miller and made their home together in Sonora, California for many years. She returned to Oklahoma in 1974. She worked for T.H. Rogers Lumber for many years until her retirement. Sue adored her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed all kinds of sports but loved watching the Oklahoma Sooners most of all.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Criner of Whitefield; her grandson, T.J. Criner and wife Alisa of Stigler; two great grandchildren, Savanna Wise and Teague Criner of Stigler; two great grandchildren, Ava Jade and Aaliyah Pearl; two brothers, Gary Cloud and wife Barbara of Quinton, Boot Cloud and wife Shirley of McAlester; two sisters, Shirley Brasswell and husband Tommy of McAlester, Linda Reeder and husband Tom of Savanna. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Ruby Cloud; her husband, Claude Miller; her daughter, Renee Tipswood.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Quinton First Baptist Church with Reverend Damon Minor officiating. The Eulogist will be Mr. Daniel Cloud. Pallbearers will be T.J. Criner, Gary Cloud, Daniel Cloud, Jackie Cloud, Everest Cloud, Waylon Cloud. Honorary pallbearers include Jordan Cloud, Hayden Cloud, Colton Cloud. Burial will follow at Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
