Richard D Burtnett, 95 of Santa, Fe, NM went home to the Lord on October 11, 2021. He was currently living with his daughter Patricia. Richard was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. He was the son of Alice G and Gerald Burtnett.

Richard enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17, fought in the European Theater of WWII, and was awarded two Purple Hearts.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Jo in 2017. Also preceding him were his sister, Gloria, brother-in-law Jack, sons, Michael, Robert, Jeffery and daughters, Sandra Goff, Beth Till and Christine Hutton, and his stepson, William Shaw.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery with military Honors conducted by the US Army and Auburn American Legion Post 97 Honor Details.
