SPECIAL NOTE: Five or more Heidelbergs carried the given names "Samuel Christian" The one in this cemetery 1810-1895 had 5 sons serve the Confederacy. Three of them: George, Washington & William are buried in this cemetery. Another son, Martin Luther Heidelberg was killed in battle a Perryville, KY. Oct-08-1862 at Age: 16y, & is buried in KY. A fifth son Samuel S. Heidelberg, died 1869 in Hinds Co. MS. and is buried there.

Married Mary Jane Morris on Nov 20, 1872 in Jasper Co, MS.
